Christmas Gyaru makeup! :D

Hey hey!

So heres my Christmas Gyaru makeup! I originally wanted to do the look using green, but I think I'll save that for another tutorial.

After recording this THREE times I got lazy. My memory card corrupted, so I got another one and that one corrupted aswell. So Im counting on this one not to fail me -_-

College. To quit or not to quit

Hey guys,
So, I need a little help. Im thinking of quitting college.
I do an Art and Design course
The project is about ourselves, and what makes me myself, things i like, things I dislike etc.
We have to draw portraits, self portraits, anatomy etc
Here are the main reasons why I want to quit:
-I draw manga styled artwork. The tutors say this is not art
-They have threatened to give me low marks if I keep drawing manga
-The project seems to be more about realistic portraits even though I was told that comic/manga illustrators will have a place in this course
-The teachers don't understand my style and put my artwork down all the time except for the Photoshop tutor who understands my style.
-When I applied for the course, the same teacher who reviewed my work and called it "interesting, edgy and brilliant" Is the same one now telling me I'm pretty much destroying my overall grade by illustrating ._.
-I have been drawing manga for about 11 years and it's very hard for me to suddenly change my style.
-I already know how to use photoshop, so sitting in photoshop class is pretty tedious lol.
-I feel like Im being discriminated against
-Mum wont let me quit
So not only do I feel like Im being ridiculed, I feel like Im wasting my time and I badly want to quit.
What do you think? ;_;

Photoshoot outfit + Youtube videos

Hello!

I had my photoshoot today, with the photographer Cyril in my wa-lolita outfit :3
It was cold, rainy and miserable. The original shoot was supposed to be outdoors in the Kyoto Gardens at Holland Park....

But due to the weather we had to improvise with an alternative xD
I haven't got any photos from the actual shoot yet, but when I do get them I will post the pics up on here.

So!, I'm going to be uploading videos to youtube in December while I'm on my Christmas break. 

I will have alot more time to do it then, and I'm going to upload an introduction to my channel and maybe a quick makeup tutorial :3

We'll see when the time comes!

Tomorrow I might take a trip to Camden Town for the first time! I can't believe I've lived in London and never visited the place, despite of how interesting it is xD

Kyou's Shopping Spree! + OOTD!

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't been able to post in a while, I'm super busy with all my college homework and I haven't really had much time to actually post anything to my blog or take photos.

So today I went on a little shopping spree to ONLY buy false eyelashes.....I ended up buying a ton of stuff LOL.
I also donated money to charity! A guy was standing in the tube station wearing a Wolverine costume and I just had to donate. I can't believe people were actually just walking around him like he wasn't there .-.

So what did I get?

I got 3 pairs of eyelashes, a white eyeliner, a black eyeliner, a hello kitty makeup bag, (I don't even like hello kitty, but its the only makeup bag that I found that was big enough v.v) a concealer palette, liquid foundation and eyebrow wax strips.
I really don't know why everything was security protected though. Who is going to steal eyebrow shapers? Come on...Seriously?

The best looking pair of eyelashes has to be the Glamour lashes. They look so amazing when they're on. And the We Are Faux eyelashes will be my "daytime" lashes

I tried both of these lipsticks on my lips. They look horrible unfortunately lol.
*Goes back on a pilgrimage to find a decent nude lipstick"

I then went into Primark and bought a pair of nice studded skinny jeans, journeyed into TK Maxx and ended up buying a pair of these lovely Fire Trap boots and a new Superdry jacket:

I guess alot of people would argue and say my style is more Gyaruo, but my makeup is Gyaru. I'm a tomboy and I just wear what I'm comfortable in to be honest lol

My mum took this photo of me when I was watching TV. I don't think I've ever looked this glamourous whilst watching TV before LOL:

Annnnd that's it.... Sorry for the short blog post, I will be posting again this weekend because I have a photoshoot arranged on Saturday.

Circle Lens Review: Geo Angel Brown

Hey guys!

So I've decided to do my first ever circle lense review! "YAY"

These are the lenses that I wear daily, maybe three to four times a week. I need prescription circle lenses but they all seem to be negative prescription? (eg. -0.75) My eyesight is positive prescription, and because none of these circle lenses seem to be for my eyes, I just have to get 0.00 and bring my glasses with me xD

Anyway, onto the review!

Heres how the lenses look in natural day light, with and without lashes:

Comfort: 10/10
These are my first ever circle lenses that I bought back in May this year. They are sooooo comfortable to wear! I can wear them for up to 8 hours without them completely drying out my eyes, however after about four hours you do notice them beginning to get a little on the dry side. Bring eye drops and you're all sorted :3

Design 8/10

I do really love how natural the design is, and how it looks when its NOT in my eyes. But when I do put them in, I find that the pattern is kind of hidden a little by my natural eye colour, since they are really dark brown. But I like how they don't look too obvious, and the design is very pretty. So if you have dark brown eyes like me, be aware of the fact that the pattern isn't going to stand out that well.

Enlargement 10/10:

Right, so....I have given the enlargement on these full marks, only because these are my first lenses I notice a huge difference to my eyes. The size is just right for first time wearers. Obviously people who have worn lenses for a longer time might think that the enlargement isn't as noticeable as other lenses they might wear.

Overall Conclusion:

If you are new to wearing circle lenses I definitely would recommend these. The colour is natural, the enlargement is justtttt right and the comfort is outstanding.
These lenses look so natural that it gets people wondering why your eyes are so naturally big and endearing lol. And because of the size, your eyes won't look very doll like. They are 14.8mm. I must go bigger o.o

I also tried out a new eye shape, (If you noticed) not only did I make the eye droopier, I also added the "gap". I don't usually do the gap because I don't think it really suits me. I think I'm going to try and do more of a cat-eyeliner shape next time, instead of a droop.

I have this stupid cold virus thing, so that's why I'm pretty much in my "comfort clothes" and no jewellery in my photos. My shirt still has the bloody size label on it v.v....

Anyway, back to bed to recover! xD

Final Fantasy Distant Worlds: The Celebration + Video Footage

Hello everyone!

So basically right, I went to the FF Distant Worlds Concert at the Royal Albert Hall! I had SUCH a great time honestly. The amount of time my eyes welled up with tears....it was so emotional there. I still feel a little emotional even now. :')

The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra were absolutely incredible! It felt like I was actually in the game itself, it was unreal. 

The Conductor for the orchestra was Arnie Roth, he was a pretty funny guy :3

Crystal Kay came on and sung Eyes On Me from Final Fantasy VIII. She's such an amazing singer! I almost cried when she started singing! 

Susan Calloway sung a song from Final Fantasy IV or V...I can't remember the name of it, but the song was incredible, and she had a really, really beautiful voice :D

Nobuo Uematsu also attended this concert. I couldn't actually believe the moment when I saw him, I got really emotional and starstruck. The guy is an absolute legend! And to know I was in the same room as him was....absolutely amazing ;A;

This was probably the best thing I have ever been to in my entire life. 
This is seriously something I could never forget. I am so grateful for being able to attend :3
This was something so special, as they are only doing three of these special performances (because of the 25 year anniversary) and it started here, in London! :)

(This 8D) I only recorded two of the performances, because I was so into the music xD

London MCM Expo- Saturday October 27th 2012

Hello everyone!

So, last saturday I went to the London MCM Expo. I have been going in both May and October for the past three years.

This is the dress that I wore this weekend (This photo was taken after the event when I got home xD):

We left the house at around 9am that morning. Usually we get the normal tickets when you have to queue for about 700 hours just to get in. So this year we got the early entry tickets...We got into the actual venue to quickly, which kind of made me miss queuing up and playing those.. "queue games"....

Anyway, I had a great time there! I got my photo taken a few times, but I didn't take as much I would have liked to myself. "Why?" I hear you ask. Well, it was super cold and it kept on raining, so most of the time I was frozen stiff, or trying to get warm lol.

BUT! We did take some photos! There isn't as much as last years though ;_; :

This was probably the cutest Yoshi I have ever seen in my entire life xD

             

I love Oogie Boogie! These two had really great cosplays! :D

He was cosplaying the main character from one of the new FF series, but I can't remember the name. Once I do remember I'll re-edit this caption lol

This Biyomon and Gabumon cosplay really excited me because I LOVE DIGIMONNN!!!

Oooooh lordy. This guy. Seriously. He was doing all the actions and the slurred voice and everything just like the real Captain Jack! I was so impressed! :D

A Brilliant cosplay! This monster thing really scares me, although the guy underneath it is very sweet lol

NOW! This cosplay really astounded me because....it was on four legs :o
I have heard of people that make this costumes, but seeing an Entei one really shocked me. Such a fantastic costume, major props to the person who made it! (btw I'm in the background over it's shoulder LOL)

So that's all the photo's we took. Not many I know, but still glad we got some.

At around 6pm we left and got home at about 6:40pm. We got some fish and chips on the way home xD

We also got a little hamper full of Japanese sweets and stuff. It had like eight packets of Pocky, two bars of Puccho, two boxes of Hello Panda, two Tokyo Toys badges and a phone charm.

Next year in  may I'm going to cosplay either Shinobu Jacobs from No More Heroes or NMH: Desperate Struggle, or Lucia from Devil May Cry. I'm still pretty much torn between the two xD
